Thermoset composites for archery, vibrating conveyors, chairs, diving boards, sails, and more.

About Gordon Composites®

Brothers George, Don, and Dave Gordon, Sr. founded Gordon Composites, Inc. in 1953. The company’s first product was the Royal Gordon composite archery bow that quickly earned a reputation for superior performance among archery enthusiasts. The company continued to work on the development of composite technology and in 1975 started production with its first continuous laminate manufacturing process. By this time the company had stopped making finished archery equipment to focus on making high performance composite bow limbs for the archery industry. The company now provides its high performance composites to all of the leading bow manufacturers.

Gordon Composites has expanded its product line to include such diverse applications as:

  • High-performance sail battens for watercraft ranging from wind surfers to racing yachts.
  • Industrial springs for vibratory conveyors used extensively in the food industry, diving board springs, and chair springs.
  • Composite reinforcements for infrastructure such as bridges and parking decks as well as for the snow and skate industries.

Commercial and industrial spring applications have demanding requirements for consistent resistance and recovery for over millions of cycles. Our high-performance composite flat springs have proven their ability to meet these challenging requirements in the furniture industry for over 10 years. Our flat springs have been used in chair tilt mechanisms with no returns.
