Brothers George, Don, and Dave Gordon, Sr. founded Gordon Composites, Inc. in 1953, and it is currently a subsidiary of Gordon Holdings, Inc. CEO Mike Gordon, son of Don Gordon, and Kevin Stay, President and General Manager, are now leading Gordon Composites. The company’s first product was the Royal Gordon composite archery bow that quickly earned a reputation for superior performance among archery enthusiasts. The company continued to work on the development of composite technology and in 1975 started production with its first continuous laminate manufacturing process. By this time the company had stopped making finished archery equipment to focus on making high performance composite bow limbs for the archery industry. The company now provides its high performance composites to all of the leading bow manufacturers.
Commercial and industrial spring applications have demanding requirements for consistent resistance and recovery for over millions of cycles. Our high-performance composite flat springs have proven their ability to meet these challenging requirements in the furniture industry for over 10 years. Our flat springs have been used in chair tilt mechanisms with no returns.
As a division of Gordon Composites, Inc., Innovoc Solutions technology enables the powder coating of plastics, composites, and other non-conductive substrates by using a low-cost surface treatment that emits no VOCs or other hazardous by-products. InnoVoc Solutions has in-house production capabilities for both fully automated in-line powder coating and batch-booth quantities. Technology licenses are available.

Polystrand materials reduce weight while maintaining exceptional strength and impact resistance that enhances the performance of trucking, rail, shipping container, intermodal, and construction industries products. Polystrand custom manufactures thermoplastic composites to customer's specific needs. This is what sets us apart from all other composite companies. Our state-of-the-art facility is the largest manufacturing plant in the world producing continuous fiber reinforced thermoplastic material. This facility enables Polystrand to produce up to 100 million pounds of reinforcing material annually while being a zero waste operation.
In 2011, TechStrand, a division of Polystrand, Inc., was established to serve our customers requiring advanced resins and/or advanced fibers for their product development and improvement.
Industries currently successful using TechStrand materials in their applications include the aerospace, automotive, ballistic, and pipe. TechStrand also serves as a research and development division to provide engineering and technical design service to our customers.
