The repair and strengthening of existing buildings and parking structures
is a market that demands the strength, light weight and high modulus
of Gordon Composites.
For this market, the company has developed a family of
pre-cured carbon and E-glass fiber laminates with an epoxy matrix. The
products can be retrofitted to bridges and parking decks during repairs
to add structural stiffness and strength.
This product line includes carbon unidirectional
laminates (GC-70-UC), in thicknesses of .020” (.5 mm) up
to .045” (2.0 mm)
in widths up to 9” (229 mm), or E-glass laminates (GC-70-UL) available
in thicknesses from .020” (.5
mm) up to .080” (2 mm), and widths up to 18” (457 mm).
Additionally, glass laminates are offered with a fiberglass weft (90°)
inlay (GC-65-ULW), and E-glass/epoxy bar stock is available from .125” to
.535” in thickness, up to 9” wide, in rectangular form.
