One of the company’s earliest sports and recreation applications was diving boards for southern California swimming pools. Gordon Composites has been powering archery equipment since the early 1950s when the company developed a process for strengthening bows. In the mid 1970s, Gordon Composites was approached by a leading ski manufacturer in search of a domestic supplier for unidirectional fiber reinforcement for their snow ski production.
